What's new NAV 2009 technical (including SP1)
Introduction

This 2-day instructor-led course starts with a brief introduction into the new RoleTailored client and which new design elements have been introduced together with the new client.

We will start by explaining the different installation and configuration options for Dynamics NAV 2009.

With the introduction of the Role Tailored Client a new three-tired architecture is implemented. We will explain the differences with the “old”, two-tired architecture and the advantages the new architecture has to offer.

The changes to the user interface also include a new reporting facility. We will show you how a report can be created that works for both the Classic client and the RoleTailored client.

You will also get an introduction to Web Services and we will look at a typical scenario in which Web Services can add value to a business.

Transforming forms into pages is required to upgrade towards the Role Tailored Client and therefore Microsoft developped the Form Transformation Tool which will be explained during the course.

Microsoft has released Service Pack 1 for Dynamics NAV and in the last chapter of this training you will get an overview of what’s new in this service pack from a technical point of view.
