Installation and Configuration in NAV2009
Introduction

This two-day course is designed for students who are preparing to complete the installation and configuration of Microsoft Dynamics® NAV. The course primarily provides explanation of the databases and servers associated with Microsoft Dynamics NAV, client hardware and software requirements, and various database administrative tasks.

 
Course Outline
Chapter 1: Chapter 1: Microsoft Dynamics NAV Architecture
This chapter focuses on the architecture of Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2009. After reviewing the Two-Tier architecture of Microsoft Dynamics NAV 5.0, the Three Tier architecture is discussed.

Chapter 2: Chapter 2: Requirements

Chapter 8: Chapter 8: Optimization and Troubleshooting
This chapter presents the of the Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2009 operating environment. The focus is on Optimizing the Database, troubleshooting database and deployment performance issues.

Prerequisites

Before attending this course, students must have:

  • A strong understanding of Clients and Servers
  • A strong understanding of Microsoft® SQL Server®2005 or SQL 2008

In addition, it is recommended, but not required, that students understand the Microsoft Dynamics NAV development environment.
