Installation and Configuration
This chapter will explain how to install a demo version of Dynamics NAV 2009 on your machine. It also explains the possibilities and available Dynamics NAV and SQL Server tools to create and restore a backup of a database on your local machine. Design Pages and Reports for the Role Tailored Client
This chapter explains to Application Consultants the fundamental concepts of page objects and describes how to use the Page Designer to create and modify pages and the Action Designer to add actions and position them.
Furthermore, it describes the methods for creating RDLC report layouts and how to add data, subtotals and totals to a report. It illustrates the differences (in report structure, report creation, report execution and dataset generation) between Classic and RoleTailored client.
The creation and usage of charts and chart parts in the Role Tailored client is also covered in this chapter.
Navigation in the Role Tailored Client, the creation and modification of the menusuite and departments section is explained in detail in this chapter.
